It’s no secret that digital resources and new technologies are more and more prominent in the world of education and in the daily classroom environment. Nowadays most of us, as well as students no matter what age, have access to tablets or smartphones meaning the birth of many new and innovative apps for education. These apps range from educational games and activities for learners to digital resource hubs for teachers.
Last month Oxford Dictionaries announced the 2015 Word of the Year and for the first time ever the winner is a Pictograph. The emoji, commonly known as ‘face with tears of joy’ was crowned as the victor and beat other popular terms of 2015 such as Brexit, refugee and ad blocker.
